NLEX-SCTEX operations continue despite ECQ

Despite the implementation of the enhanced community quarantine in Metro Manila, Bulacan, and three other provinces, the NLEX Corporation has announced that it will continue its operation. While ensuring the continuity of services to motorists, the tollway company is taking all the necessary measures to promote the health and safety of employees.

According to J. Luigi L. Bautista, President and General Manager of NLEX Corporation, He recognize the critical role of their company in providing vital infrastructure for the unimpeded flow of goods and services. They will continue to comply with government directives and guidelines and continue to protect their employees and motorists.

NLEX and SCTEX ensures the unhampered movement of essential goods and the transit of frontliners, workers, and Authorized Persons Outside of Residence (APOR) identified by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) as they operates 24/7. 50% to 60% of the lanes at Balintawak, Bocaue, and Mindanao toll plazas remain open to serve motorists. Actually, all toll plazas are open but on a limited capacity in close coordination with the Philippine National Police (PNP) regarding their checkpoint/monitoring operations along the expressways.

NLEX Corporation continues to beef up its COVID-19 prevention protocols with intensified cleaning, disinfection, sanitation and also physical distancing measures have been in place in its office premises, toll booths, customer service centers, company vehicles, and rest and refuel areas like gasoline stations to ensure safety.

Free 24-hour towing to the nearest exit for Class 1 vehicles will also be available from 6:00 a.m. of March 31, 2021 to 6:00 a.m. of April 5, 2021 to better serve motorists.
